I was again for the second time in my life watched the Diva, Madonna live in action. But honestly, I enjoyed the Confession Tour more. This time I couldn’t feel her jest of life and I am not sure if she had put in her very best. At certain moments, I even felt like she was emulating Anvil Lavigne, sometime, Kylie Minogue and even a glimpse of Britney. I read the review and it seems she’s been having a hard time in her life lately.
BUT still, even though she was late, the concert was way too short (vs the amount we paid for the tix) - the most beautiful part of the concert was when she sang “You Must Love Me”, the beautiful ballad from Evita. Her voice was mesmerising! Behind her flashes images of current issues around us today - environment, war, tibet, politics etc. It moved me.
It made me feel like - Yo People! Love the world! Love you! Love me!
Where do we go from here?
This isn’t where we intended to be
We had it all, you believed in me
I believed in you
Certainties disappear
What do we do for our dream to survive?
How do we keep all our passions alive,
As we used to do?
Deep in my heart I’m concealing
Things that I’m longing to say
Scared to confess what I’m feeling
Frightened you’ll slip away
You must love me
You must love me
Why are you at my side?
How can I be any use to you now?
Give me a chance and I’ll let you see how
Nothing has changed
You must love me
