Looking Back In Time

Just re-reading my archives of last Dec/ Jan, the mood was certainly much upbeat. What has changed then till now?

I keep on wondering. But like my bestie says to me, no logics will find you the answer, for once try chanting for my happiness, the path will show you its way

So apart from work which is going really great and I treasure this opportunity of a lifetime to be able to jetset, put my feet on, breathe in and see almost every corner of our world, I did nothing much this year. Well, if I look at my determinations for 2007, I am really faring poorly…

Good news is that I am still learning Flemish and French (the determination is still there!) Still a mute in these languages but at least now I can follow conversations and read simple signage.

My 350D is taking vacation with my brother so you can imagine what progress I did with it yet :P

I did try to cook but I fare better as an instructor so… But I did make my first muffins.

Still over 55kg :-/

I know I know, I am really bad at keeping in touch. I will try harder next year (that’s the spirit!)

Yikes, that enough to review. But honestly, writing to myself here (maybe someone out there finds my writings interesting as well?) makes me feel whole load better! And I am really looking forward to a NEW year – 2008!

The only Christmas gift I received (which mind you, arrived at the very right moment – just on Christmas’ Eve) is from my bestie from Down Under. One is a cute handcrafted journal (for those who knows me well, I have a knack for notebooks) and another is a tank top – cheery bright blue shouting the following words – never never never give up <lorna jane>

Thank you, LittleCreature! I will wear this to countdown and welcome the new year with big hopes, great dreams and absolute happiness in London! Yes, I am going to London again :D

Silent Nights

Merry Christmas to everyone! Sorry that I have not been about much – blame it on the travelling, also the inspirations didnt come on to me. Well, I have not really been in the right fit – in body and mind. But I hope to do better and my best for 2008!!! I really wanna do!!! I really want to be absolutely happy! And inspire others too :)

But still I would like to wish everyone a super super Merry Christmas – even if you do not celebrate Christmas (like me), do enjoy the vibes of festivity, city lights, merry people and of course, the long weekend!

Life has not exactly been at the highest peak, so I do apologise if I had not remembered to send my wishes to you personally – my mind is too preoccupied but never doubt that you are not in my thoughts, just sometimes I can’t focus on things too well.

Oh yea, I have recently received a very very precious gift – a POEM which came with an iPod Classic 80g Black (yep, the iPod is expensive but the poem is invaluable!)

A girl from Klang came into my life,

Shared with me that everything on earth is part of the incredibility of life…

and that it is always there for me to take of its joy.

And engraved on the iPod itself – To the gal who changed my life, Jaymy

Its from a friend, who was an ex-colleague whom through a coincidental encounter (by the cover of a book), I had the opportunity to share with the philopsophy which I base my life on – the greatness of Nichiren Daishonin Buddhism.

Then as he decides to try, there was the countless ups and downs, trials and doubts – like how life would be, only to be embrace with faith and courage, then the true joy of living is understood. Though there were many moments where I was worried too and sometimes even doubted.

But this poem which I received is a gift of a lifetime, something I will never forget and at this moment of darkness, it serves as a reminder which illuminates the path for me – to keep believing in myself, my believes and my goodwills.

I don’t know if I am lucky or not. But well, I try to enjoy every tiniest minute eventhough I am quite tired out by all the jetsetting this week.

I was just in Berne, Switzerland last 2 days. Pretty hectic 2 days I would say cuz I flew in direct from Johannesburg to attend an important one day meeting with the team in Berne. Stresss cuz I need to prepare my materials!!!

Still, as I touched down at 6am, groggy as can be, managed to catch the RIGHT train from Zurich to Berne (and wise enough to buy a return ticket cuz I almost missed my flight on the way back – no minutes to spare) and stepped into the best 4 boutique hotel of Switzerland :) What can I say!

I have the most breathtaking view out of the windows over looking the mountains and unbelievably blueish green river. So scenic! Such beauty!

To add on to the whole ambience, the taxi I rode to the office – while transversing along the lanes of this wonderful city, playing classical music on the back – what can complement better!

Man, these are the moments I enjoy most during my travel. Priceless!

Let’s not talk about the hours and endless hours of meeting thereafter…

I had to also pass by Dubai for another hectic working week with the team there. We needed to brainstorm on our action plans for next year. But it was fruitful!

Dubai is what they call the “Transit City”. Almost everyone whom I managed to have a chat with told me that ‘its just a few year here’. Its lovely place, mind you not.

A little too perfect for me – it amazes how everything immaculately sculptured. Of course, I’ve heard there are the places where the poor or uhm, slaves lives – but those are the places hidden from us, tourist!

My work places is situated next to oasis of palm trees and a very clean lake – where kicking fishes swims round and round. I am always amaze at the surrounding, at the landscaped surrounding – immaculate. Everything is too perfect to superficiality.

I have not yet started on the Emirates Place – grandest and HUGE (mind you, HUGE) shopping centre with its own built-in ski slopes with even 4-seater-ski-lift. And row and row of maserati, porche, ferrari lining up the front to add on the grandeurness.

Well, it was a short trip, I cant say much except that this is a buzzling city, growing at an amazing rate and I wouldnt mind working there a couple of year – my transit years (if there are still left LOL)

I Love This City

Nov 22-25, 2007

Admist the madness, I managed to squeeze 4 day to go home to my beloved city – Kuala Lumpur.

I even invited along a colleague for the real Malaysian experience!

Picture perfect icon of KL!
